Port Authority

I was hypothetically asked - if forced to select only one brand to use for all customers, just one brand to cover them all, what would it be?

For me, it has to be Port Authority. It covers everything, and its range of colours and styles is enormous.

For example, a true cotton-rich polo blend, Superpro material that repels liquid stains, and easy-care cotton-rich shirts available in 26 colours, short and long sleeves, and female/male cuts.

Plus the range of Flexfit caps, which are always a winner.

If I could only pick one brand, I’d feel safe with Port Authority as a start and end to every search.

At a glance, categories and number of styles include:

  • Polos 130
  • Outerwear 166
  • Woven Shirts 72
  • Fleece 58
  • Workwear 31
  • Caps (inc. Flexfit) 93
  • Bags 114

Ant, Entity’s Sales Manager, says:

‘When a potential client approaches me to source a specific item, colour and fit, Port Authority is my go-to. It’s no wonder that it’s the USA’s #1 uniform brand. It’s exceptional quality and good value.’

Asked to list out his favourite Port Authority products:

Ant’s Polo Pick:

‘In this game, a true blended, cotton-rich polo is hard to come by. It’s either 100% poly, cotton-backed, 100% cotton, or poly-cotton.

The Rapid Dry Mesh Polo is the game-changer. 64% Cotton, 36% Poly - in a proper blend and modern cut. It’s season-busting comfort that keeps creases at bay. It’s selling very well for us, and for a good reason, it’s perfect.’

Ant’s Woven Shirt Picks

‘I’ve always been a big fan of innovation, be it in technology, thought or apparel. The Superpro range is at the forefront of innovation. Not only does it have a wrinkle-free finish, making it simple to maintain, but also designed to resist and release stains.

The 60/40 Cotton Polyester material is treated with a unique formula, enabling the garment to deflect liquid and dirt. You may have seen us at APPA using a water droplet on a shirt; it repels it, meaning you can ‘run it’ round the outside of the shirt and then tip it off; it’s incredible.’

‘The next is the best shirt option in the uniform industry. BIG call I know. But I back it.

The Easy Care Shirt is cotton-rich, wrinkle-resistant, available in 26 colours, long and short sleeve, female options, tall sizing available, and great value.

It’s the ULTIMATE go-to.

You should grab a grommeted sample for your showroom; the grommet shows all 26 colours available, so you’ll only need one sample, then a short sleeve and a female option or two. That way, you have so many shirt combinations available for your customers.’

Ant’s Outerwear Pick

‘Another favourite is the Vortex Waterproof 3-In-1 Jacket; extreme weather and windproof properties, without the extreme cost. The versatility that this jacket provides in all weather conditions is a step above.

There was no compromise when it came to designing either; stylish outerwear, with a variety of colour combinations and an easy access pocket to enable branding; this truly is an everything-in-one outerwear solution.’

Ant’s Headwear Pick

‘Being blessed with a less than adequate amount of hair, my need for caps has grown exponentially over the past few years. Introducing my cap pick, the Flexfit Delta Cap.

Besides featuring the iconic Flexfit band, the composition of 92/8 Polyester/Spandex makes it simple to clean, every cap owners nightmare.

Even more importantly, it offers Delta technology, providing lightweight fabric, stain-block tech, a three-layer sweatband for optimum sweat absorption, and is stitch-free, creating a modern and luxurious exterior.’

Picking a handful of favourite products from the Port Authority range is not a simple task. The above examples will give you a small taste of what the 600+ product brand is all about.
