Why you should leverage off sustainability in 2022

Sustainability is THE hot topic of 2020. It is Increasingly the primary focus of a companies brand strategy.

You've been making a conscious effort to improve your company's social reputation by becoming more sustainable. You're well aware that sustainability is a hot topic and keen to show the world that you're on the bandwagon.

So far you've got your recycling in check, switched to energy-saving LED bulbs in the office, you've even looked into reducing the amount of plastic you're using.

But despite the changes, you're aware that, although noble, these steps are not interesting enough to your customers. Not something you could broadcast to them on the socials. What you need is something you can show off that demonstrates your dedication to 'going green'.

You get an email about recycled t-shirts.

Branded t-shirts for you and your team would show that even the clothes on your back are recycled - how sustainable!

Like in the story above, sustainability is becoming the primary focus of many company's brand strategy.

If you're considering adding a few sustainable options to your range, there's no better time to do so, with over 80% of people reporting a favourable opinion of companies involved.

Not only will adding sustainable options reflect well on your company and brand, but it's likely to attract customers, as they look to reflect a more positive sustainable outlook for themselves and their business.

That's the beauty of sustainability; the emotive message gets passed from you to your customers, then onto their customers. It's a powerful win-win.

Best still, because of the power of the eco-message, your customer is likely to share their newly acquired eco-uniforms with the social media world, creating a hype around the product. And when their customers ask where they got them, they tell them.

For uniforms, the best options to go with are recycled fabric or organic cotton

There are some great options to select from, but the product I would recommend starting with is the District Re-tee, made of 100% recycled fabric without being re-dyed, made from reclaimed material that could otherwise end up in a landfill.

Now that's what sustainable fabric is all about - mic drop by District on this one!
